Sanford and Son was an American sitcom television series that was aired on NBC from January 1972 to march 1977. The show was based on the BBC television program Steptoe and Son which was originally broadcasted in England. The sitcom show had six seasons with a total of 136 episodes and was produced by Bud Yorkin. Sanford and Son paved way for many African American sitcoms. Its ratings hit throughout its seasons finishing in Nielsen’s top ten for all the five seasons. In 2007, the times magazine ranked the show as one of the top 100 shows of all time. Being one of the greatest of its time, the show, Sanford and Son attracted a lot of actors both as Main cast member and some as guest cast. The comedy tv series Sanford and son, had many cast members and, in this video, will feature some of the cast members who died in real life.
