ROC is an American comedy drama television series that was aired on fox from August 1991 to May 1994. The show was created and directed by Stan Daniels. The series starred Charles Dutton as Baltimore garbage collector, Roc Emerson and Ella Joyce, his wife Eleanor who is a nurse. The show aired for three consecutive seasons with a total of 72 amazing episodes. Though the show had a lot of fans, it had a low rating but fined recognition in form of award nominations including an Emmy award nomination for its camera works and Charles Dutton received an NAACP image award for outstanding actor in comedy series. Roc was one of the popular show that showcased the African American community and stood out. 30 years later the comedy drama series is still one of the best of its time.
